Dr Rachel Mann

I qualified from Leicester University in 1990, and started as a half time partner at the Westbank Practice in 1997.

I thoroughly enjoy General Practice especially continuing care and developing relationships with patients that enable them to maximise their health and well being.

When I am not at work, I'm to be found doing lots of family things, walking the dog, gardening, meeting friends, shopping.

Dr Nimita Gandhi

I recently joined the Practice as a partner in July 2014.

I qualified in medicine from King’s College Hospital in London in 1990, and then worked in General Practice in London & Southampton. My husband’s appointment brought us to wonderful Devon in 2001. With a young growing family, I thoroughly enjoyed working part-time in general practice in Exeter, during which time I helped to organise medical educational meetings. As our two children grew older, the time seemed right to increase my professional commitment, and I am thrilled to be part of the Westbank practice.

I enjoy the variety that general practice offers, and in particular, the ability to work together with patients, to jointly improve health. I like to strive to keep up-to-date with medical developments, and, with my partners, to ensure that our patients receive all modern care available.

During my spare moments, I enjoy experimenting with vegetarian cuisine, and circuit training at the gym (to burn it off).

Dr Alex Wood

I joined the practice in March 2016. I am a local boy having grown up in Exeter. After moving away for several years to Cambridge and then London I saw the light and returned to Exeter to do my postgraduate and GP training.

It was here I met my wife Dr Wheeler! We moved to Exminster in 2011 and are pleased to be back after spending 2 years working as GPs in Australia. Although we miss the weather! We are both pleased to be living in such a beautiful part of the world and working in our local community.

When not working I can often be seen running or cycling along the river or resting at the Turf!

I qualified in 2001 from the University of Leicester Medical School and have worked in various parts of the country before coming to Devon in 2006, where I worked in various local practices as a locum. I joined the Westbank Practice as a partner in October 2008. I think this practice has one of the best populations with regards to staff and patients that I have worked with in General Practice.

I have particular medical interests in internal medicine, ophthalmology, and medical acupuncture. I enjoy most of medicine and work regularly with Devon Doctors - the out of hours GP service.

I was born and educated in Germany. I qualified in medicine at Medical School in Germany in 2003. I carried out my postgraduate and GP training in Exeter. I started doing locum work in Exeter and the surrounding area for 5 months then started as a partner at the Westbank Practice in July 2014. My special interests are in general medicine and elderly care.

I live in Exeter with my husband and 2 sons. In my spare time I enjoy reading, playing the piano, and exploring the Devon countryside.

Dr Bel Stanley

I qualified in 1990 from St Thomas' Hospital medical school, London. After working in Cornwall then Chichester, I became a partner in General Practice in Southbourne, near Chichester. After 5 years in Southbourne, I met my husband-to-be, a Devonian born and bred, and moved back West to settle down.

I have enjoyed working as a salaried GP at the Westbank Practice since 2001. I have special interests in women's health, family planning, IUCD fitting and acupuncture.

I love just being with my family (two boys, husband and dog), and we get up to all sorts of different adventures in our time off. We particularly love playing on the water, on any board or boat.
