New Phone System
All calls (inbound and outbound) are recorded for training and monitoring purposes.
We understand the frustrations patients sometimes have when contacting their busy GP Practice. We have changed our phone system to make this process as simple, as fast and as secure as possible.
- High call volumes? Patient call back holds your place in the queue after you have called in and hung up. You will receive a call back instead of waiting on the line, saving time and money.
- Surgery Connect can be configured to inform patients with high quality voice messages at every stage pf their journey, minimising stress.
Flu Vaccine
It’s not too late to get your vaccine!
The flu vaccination is important. While flu is unpleasant for most people, it can be dangerous and even life-threatening for those with certain health conditions.
Get Vaccinated. Get Winter Strong.
Top Tips for staying well this Winter!
- Heat the home: Heat your home to at least 18°C (65°F), if you can, you might prefer your living room to be slightly warmer. Remember to keep your window closed on winter nights as breathing in cold air can be bad for your health because it increases the risk of chest infections.
- Move a little or a lot: Exercise is good for you all year round, not only will moving more keep you healthy, it can keep you warm over the colder winter months.
- Pharmacy first: If you do start to feel unwell over the winter months, even if it’s just a cough or a cold, it’s important to get help from your pharmacist before it gets more serious. Pharmacists are fully qualified to advise you on the best course of action
Worried about your poorly child?
The HANDi Paediatric app has been developed by paediatric consultants and provides access to home care plans, as well as GP and hospital clinical guidelines, for the most common childhood healthcare conditions, giving up-to-date advice about common childhood illnesses and how to treat them.
Parents generally don’t want to take their children to A&E unless it’s absolutely necessary – but often they end up there because they are not sure what else to do.
This app gives parents more confidence in dealing with minor conditions at home.
