Our Paramedic Ben!

We are delighted to share some exciting news with you! Ben, our Paramedic, has achieved an incredible feat in support of the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association. On Sunday 19th May, Ben completed an astonishing 100-kilometer walk in just over 20 hours.

We are incredibly proud of Ben and his achievement. Ben’s journey is a powerful example of how determination and compassion can drive change and bring hope to those in need.

Ben received donations of just over £1000, helping to fund crucial research and provide support to individuals and families affected by MND.
Congratulations to Ben for his incredible achievement.

Ordering Prescriptions

You can order your prescriptions online via the NHS App or SystmOnline. These apps offer convenient access to a variety of NHS services, including ordering repeat prescriptions and nominating a pharmacy you would like to collect them from, booking and managing appointments and viewing your health record. If you need help setting up or using these apps, the practice is running an NHS App Session on 2nd July. Please contact the practice for more information.

Look after your skin – stay safe in the sun!

As the weather is getting warmer, it’s incredibly important to protect yourself.

SLIP, SLOP, SLAP, SLIDE, SHADE!

SLIP on a T-shirt, SLOP on Factor 30+ sunscreen, SLAP on a hat, SLIDE on some sunglasses and

SHADE from the sun – this will keep you safer in summer weather.
Clothing should cover skin as much as possible and remember, no sunscreen provides complete protection.

Shade can provide a good barrier between our skin and the sun so seek shade whenever possible.

  • You don’t always need to see a GP. We have a range of clinicians including Paramedics, Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and Physiotherapists. Our team will direct you to the most appropriate clinician.

Patient confidentiality for children over the age of 13

According to NHS guidelines, once a child reaches the age of 13, they have the right to confidential medical care. This means that we cannot share any medical information with their parents or guardians without the explicit consent of the child.

We understand that this can be a significant change for parents, but it is essential to respect the privacy and autonomy of our adolescent patients.

If you are a parent or guardian and need to discuss your child’s health information, your child must give us permission to share their medical information with you. This can be done by the child providing verbal or written consent directly to the practice.

Please note you can still book an appointment on your child’s behalf.

Would you like to Join our Patient Participation Group (PPG)
